This time we visited a bar at the end of the calle de las tetarías, the Taberna 22. The bar was founded in 1922 and has been in the same hands for the last 18 years.
From the terrace you have a view on the church of San Gregorio. The terrace has 6 tables and although you are at the end of the street with all the tea houses, you are in a tranquil environment.
Inside the bar are no tables and only four bar stools. But they have a nice atmosphere with a nice decoration. There seems to be no air conditioning inside.
At midday it was rather warm on the terrace, but they have a water diffuser, which I really do not like, to cool down a bit.
The waitress of Taberna 22 who served us was nice and served us rapidly. I do not know how she will do with more people, but I guess she will manage just fine.
The tinto de verano was, unfortunately, a bit short on the wine.
The tapas were different. The first one was nothing special, but fine of taste. The second one was a pasta salad, which I also liked.
I will return one day to check out the atmosphere in the evening.
